Two missing Ebonyi students found dead

Spokesman of Ebonyi State Police Command, ASP George Okafor, who disclosed this in a statement yesterday, explained that their bodies were discovered at a bamboo grove in Ata River, about half a kilometer from the school premises.

According to him, the discovery of the decomposing bodies of the two students who were declared missing on May 14, was sequel to information received from community leaders, youths and other stakeholders in the area.
Reacting to the gruesome murder of the students, Okposi E-8, a group of elites from Okposi community resident in Abuja, explained that: “This is the first time that such bizarre incident is being reported in Federal Government College, Okposi since the establishment of the school in 1965.”

The group, after an emergency meeting on Monday in Abuja, urged people to be cautious while reacting to the incident, and called on law enforcement agencies to investigate the cause.

In a statement signed by its Chairman and Secretary, Emenike Joseph Okorie and Ugochukwu Ezekiel, yesterday, Okposi E-8 commended the efforts of the Ebonyi State Police Command and other security agencies in the state currently working to unravel the cause of the incident.
