Fiorentina have reportedly told Chelsea they must pay €25m to prise away left-back Marcos Alonso.
Tuttomercatoweb reports that the two clubs are currently in negotiations for the 25-year-old.
Chelsea requested him for their left flank, as he can play in a four-man defence or in a more advanced role of a midfield five.
The Blues boss wants to bring in Alonso in order to move Branislav Ivanovic into the centre, with Cesar Azpilicueta moving from left-back to replace the Serbian on the right-hand side.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Chelsea are negotiating a deal worth an initial £17 million, with possible add-ons to come for the defender who has previously had spells in England with Bolton and Sunderland.
Whilst previously failing to make much of an impression in the Premier League and the Championship, Alonso has impressed in Serie A and could be a decent alternative for Conte in the final few days of the transfer window.
TMW claim the Viola will not budge from their €25m valuation of the Spaniard.
Alonso is under contract in Florence until June 2021 and has been in Italy since the summer of 2013.
