A love fraudster who proposed marriage to five different women and scammed them of money has been declared wanted after he jumped bail.
A 29-year old man who thought he could play five women for fools by proposing marriage to all of them is in trouble after he absconded from the court when he was arraigned to face trial in Lagos State.
PM Express reports that the accused, Chukwuemeka Obodozie, has been charged with marriage fraud and obtaining money by tricks from the five women whom he had all promised to marry at different times.
It was gathered that the court had declared him wanted while his in-law, Jude Iheruo, who stood as surety for him at the Magistrate’s Court sitting in Ejigbo area of the state, was been arrested and remanded in prison custody in his place.
At the court hearing, it was learned that the five women showed up and narrated how the player promised them marriage at almost the same time, obtained huge sums of money from them and dumped all of them when he was discovered to be a scammer and later disappeared.
One of the victims later reported the matter to the police leading to the arrest of Obodozie before he was charged before the court with fraud.
He was granted bail but remanded in prison custody before Iheruo went to the court and stood as his surety.
But he later jumped bail and when he repeatedly refused to appear in court, the court then ordered the arrest of Iheruo who had promised to produce Obodozie when required to face trial.
