Dani Alves Hails Ronaldo
Barcelona defender Dani Alves has responded to Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo by posting a list of his honours.
After Real Madrid’s win over Sporting with 5-1 score, Ronaldo was questioned on Alves’s comment that Neymar should have beaten him to second place at the Ballon d’Or.
After the ceremony Alves said: “Yes, it surprised me [that he did not finish second], but everyone starts crying when I say these things and speak my mind. Neymar has gone through an incredible evolution and he’s a better player every day, of course he’ll keep competing for the award, he wants it and will work to win it. The years pass and he just gets better. We’re privileged to have him with us.”
“Everyone who talks about me, appears in front the next day. I do not give free promotion,” Ronaldo responded.
In his turn Alves posted a picture of all 30 trophies he has collected during his playing career with a polite “Good morning!” message.
